Blue Screen of Death
Yesterday 8th February 2010 I saw the famous Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) again after long time. It hasn't happend to me with Windows Vista as far as I remember during the one year I was using it and this was the first time with Windows 7. The same time I found out that ordinary people (not from the IT crowd) don't have a clue what the BSoD is, so i decided to create a short article.
Technically
Blue screen of death is displayed by Windows after occuring a critical system error. You will see a blue screen with some report and the computer will shut down itself in a moment. If you were lucky, nothing dangerous happened and your computer will work.
How it happened to me...
I have downloaded MMORPG (on-line game) Lineage II (from a web page of game free server and even legally), i installed it, runned it (got through administration dialogue), downloaded updates... clicked on start... game character image appeared... and... blue screen of death!!!!!
So I uninstalled the game and it's never gonna see my hard drive again... unfortunately, because it looked really nice.
